These works are inspired by nature; things that usually go unnoticed or unseen. Danica examines textures and patterns of different rocks, wood, plant life; the ripples of colour, contrasts of structure. She deconstructs what she sees and then recreates it in her own way. Each piece is an individual expression of nature; of self.  The intent is not to replicate objects, but to simply translate something seen, or experienced in a unique and interesting way.

Coloured stain have been added to these Southern Ice Porcelain vessels. They have been added at different stages of creation; in some of the works the colour was added during the preparation of the clay through wedging it in, other pieces had the colour added as inserts during different times of the throwing stage.
