This series was influenced by the human form and are created form Southern Ice Porcelain. These wheel thrown pieces have been altered to create an interesting dynamics between the surface and the designs. The human form has been simplified, focusing on movement, energy and form. The resist technique used raises the figures, creating an interesting play of shadows. The internal colours draw the eye in, hinting that we should look beyond the surface to the bright internal world and examine the relationship between the two.
