Lately I have been drawn to creating more sculptural and altered forms. I wanted to make my clay vessels explore personality, and express a sense of quirkiness and character.

In this series I explored making different shapes on the wheel, and threw a series of different sized and shaped vessels. I then altered the forms and joined them together to create miniature towers of oddly shaped and placed vessels. For each one, a different personality arose, and I tried to emphasise this while joining them together.

I then added different stains and glazes, creating a contrast between internal and external, but also drawing attention to the two, and allowing the colour to make its own impression on the piece.
