Arcadia Crop Circles returns in 2026 with Circles of Nature, transforming a working wheat field into a unique outdoor gallery where art, landscape and community come together.
Visitors are invited to walk a carefully designed spiral pathway through the crop, discovering a series of installations and sculptures nestled within individual crop circles. Each artwork responds to the surrounding environment, creating moments of surprise, reflection and connection as the journey unfolds.

My featured Installation: Where Feathers Gather
Created by Perth Hills ceramic artist Danica Wichtermann (Rediscover Ceramics), Where Feathers Gather is a ceramic installation inspired by Western Australia’s black cockatoos and the native landscapes they depend upon.
I have created a gathering of sculptural feathers from porcelain and stoneware clay, impressed with textures from seed pods and plants that form part of black cockatoo habitat. Some feathers are boldly painted with layers of colour, while others are pale and almost faded away. Across the work, colour gradually returns, a symbol of hope, resilience and the possibility of renewal.
The feathers are mounted on reclaimed timber stumps, crafted with the help of Nis Wichtermann, and placed within the landscape of Arcadia Farm in Goomalling. I wanted the work to feel as though it has gathered here, rather than simply been placed here, connecting the birds, plants, people and agricultural landscape that surround it.
The project also extends into the community, with approximately 80–120 handmade ceramic feathers created from local Koomalin clay through workshops and with the wider community. A number of the feathers will have personal messages of hope inscribed on the back. Together, they will form a separate gathering at the entrance to the crop circle, where they will be offered in exchange for donations supporting Kaarakin Black Cockatoo Conservation.
For me, Where Feathers Gather is about noticing what is around us, caring for the places we share, and holding onto hope for what can remain.
A Journey Through Art and Landscape
Arcadia Crop Circles is more than an exhibition. It is an immersive experience where every turn along the spiral path reveals another artist's interpretation of Circles of Nature. From large-scale sculptural works to intimate installations, the exhibition celebrates creativity while fostering deeper connections with the Wheatbelt landscape.
Whether viewed from ground level or from above, the crop circles become a living canvas where contemporary art and the rhythms of the land exist side by side.
