Plate & Platter Pottery Workshop
Create your own set of smaller plates or one larger feature cheese platter in this relaxed, hands-on pottery workshop at Rediscover Ceramics.
Using high-quality stoneware clay, you’ll learn simple hand-building techniques to create functional ceramic pieces for your home. Choose to make a set of smaller plates, perfect for appetisers, nibbles, desserts or serving, or create one larger cheese platter in any shape you like.
You’ll also have the chance to explore nature-inspired textures by pressing leaves, flowers, seed pods, shells and other natural materials into the clay. Add decorative details, carved textures or coloured underglaze to make your pieces your own.
No previous pottery experience is needed. Danica will guide you through each step, from shaping and adding texture through to finishing your work. She’ll then fire and glaze your pieces ready for collection.
