Plate-Making Pottery Workshop

Rediscover Ceramics workshops are a beautiful way to slow down, connect with clay, and make something truly functional for your home. Perfect for beginners and experienced makers alike, these plate-making sessions invite you to explore hand-building techniques while creating a set of plates you’ll cherish for years to come.

In this hands-on pottery workshop, you’ll craft up to three plates in various sizes using high‑quality stoneware clay. Choose a dinner plate and side plate, or create a trio of smaller plates perfect for appetisers, nibbles, or desserts. You’ll also learn how to press natural textures (leaves, flowers, seed pods, shells) into your clay for stunning, nature-inspired designs. If you wish, add decorative details or a splash of coloured underglaze to personalise your set.

These workshops are relaxed, social, and beginner-friendly — come solo or invite a friend for a creative afternoon in the studio.

Come along solo or with friends — this plate-making workshop is the perfect way to relax, learn new skills, and create beautiful ceramic pieces for your home or as thoughtful handmade gifts.

On the day Danica will take you through the hand building process step by step, including rolling out the clay, forming the edges, as well as demonstrating nature imprinting- from gathered flowers and leaves, to shell and seed pod textures. You will be able to decorate and personalize your items as you wish. You will also have the opportunity to add a splash of colour at the end.

No previous experience needed- classes are modified to suit all participants.

• Classes run for about 2.5-3 hrs

** Behind the scenes Danica will fire and glaze fire your creations to make them food safe, and ready to pick up in about 4 weeks. The final product will be dishwasher and microwave safe.
