Carnaby’s Black Cockatoo Oval Platters and Bowls

These handcrafted porcelain platters and bowls feature carved Carnaby’s Black Cockatoo designs in a classic black and white sgraffito style. Each piece is shaped from rolled porcelain slab and carved by hand, revealing white linework beneath a black and white slip surface.

The interior is finished in a clear, food safe glaze, while the exterior is left unglazed for a smooth satin matte feel. The soft oval formed platter is more functional than the feather shape and works beautifully as a serving piece or as a sculptural artwork displayed on a stand. It can be pared up with a matching bowl and spoon.
